Our school is situated 50kms north-west of Bundaberg in the Wide Bay Burnett region of Queensland. The school has an enrolment of approximately 450 students and the majority of these students travel from small outlying rural centres.
Our school is a small school with spirit and has attained wonderful academic and vocational results in recent years, reflecting our school purpose of ‘inspiring learning that creates confidence, choice and opportunity now and in the future’. The school is also very active in sport and cultural pursuits, celebrated annually in our sports awards and school musical evenings.
Gin Gin State High School has implemented School wide positive behaviour support. Our 3 school rules of ‘Respect Self, Respect Others and Respect Environment’ form the cornerstone for our interactions with others and the environment. Our mantra ‘The Sense of The Goose’, is how we support one another in everything we do and the way we go about business at Gin Gin State High School.
